Methodist Hospital is seeking a Certified Pediatric Respiratory Care Practitioner to assess and treat patients with pulmonary disorders and to manage the department's respiratory therapy modalities. The role includes administering therapies, monitoring responses, and collaborating with physicians and nurses to adjust patient care plans.

Minimum requirements include graduation from an approved Respiratory Therapy Program and Texas licensure, with BLS and ACLS within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
• One year previous Respiratory Therapy experience preferred.
• Initial and ongoing training and competencies defined by service line, facility and department.

Responsabilités

• Operates and sets up devices such as mechanical ventilators and gas administration following treatment parameters.
• Provides emergency care including artificial ventilation and CPR assistance.
• Collects and analyzes arterial blood gases and interprets values.
• Follows physician orders for treatment and evaluates therapy needs.
• Monitors patient response via vitals, ABGs and capnography.
• Consults with physicians and nurses to adjust the care plan.

Formation

Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
