Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy program.
• One year of Respiratory Therapy experience preferred.
• Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (Texas) to practice in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Operates and sets up devices such as mechanical ventilators and aerosol generators.
• Provides emergency care including artificial ventilation and CPR assistance.
• Collects and analyzes arterial blood gases and interprets results.
• Follows physician orders for treatment and adjusts therapy as needed.
• Monitors patient response using vital signs and blood gas values.
• Collaborates with physicians and nurses to manage the plan of care.
