Job summary

Phoenix Children's is seeking an experienced Respiratory Care Manager to lead Respiratory Therapy operations at the Arrowhead Campus in Glendale. This leadership role stewards staffing, clinical oversight, and high-quality pediatric respiratory care across the campus.

The Manager will oversee the float team, partner with multidisciplinary leaders, drive staffing, recruitment, and performance, and ensure 24/7 accountability for department operations while promoting evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of Respiratory Therapy experience, including leadership and/or supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience leading Respiratory Therapy teams and managing day-to-day department operations.
• Strong pediatric and critical care Respiratory Therapy background.
• Demonstrated experience with staffing, workforce management, and team development.
• Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across teams and locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Respiratory Care operations and staff at the Arrowhead Campus.
• Provide leadership and operational oversight for the Respiratory Therapy float team.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, engagement, and retention.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, performance management, and staff development.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, productivity, and appropriate allocation of respiratory resources.
• Maintain 24/7 accountability for department operations.
• Drive quality, safety, evidence-based practice, and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary leaders to support patient care and operational goals.
• Monitor departmental performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
• Serve as a visible, hands-on leader and clinical resource for the team.
