Job summary

UBMD Pediatrics within the University at Buffalo's Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences seeks a full-time Research Operations Coordinator to provide embedded administrative and operational support for research activities located on the South Campus, primarily for the Division of Behavioral Medicine.

Qualifications

• Relevant administrative, research coordination, project management, or operational experience.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with faculty, research personnel, trainees, and administrative staff.
• Proficiency with standard office software and the ability to learn University and research-related systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate grant materials, deadlines, biosketches, and other required forms.
• Assist with coordination of human subjects and regulatory components (IRB, IACUC).
• Coordinate information for annual progress reports and sponsor communications.
• Coordinate administrative support for undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, research staff, and volunteers.
• Recruitment, hiring coordination, onboarding, appointments, required training, and personnel documentation.
• Maintain faculty CVs, bibliographies, and other professional documentation.
• Coordinate research space needs and liaison with facilities personnel.
• Submit requests and follow up on repairs, maintenance, and space-related facilities requests.
• Coordinate research meetings, schedules, documentation, and communications.
• Collaborate with Sponsored Projects and Departmental Administration for appropriate handoffs.
