Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY seeks a Research Associate to support NIH- and other funder-led research within the PEDS - Division Of General Pediatrics. Responsibilities include coordinating trials, scheduling activities, and recruiting participants across clinical, school-based, and community settings.

You will manage data collection and analysis, assist with regulatory documents, and help ensure timely milestone completion while integrating research into patient-care workflows.

Qualifications

• Education: BS degree required; MS degree preferred.
• Experience: Four to six years with office, statistical, and bioinformatics or data-mining software preferred.
• Research Experience: Experience in clinical and community-based research preferred; pediatric experience desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant clinical research software; REDCap, SPSS, SAS, Stata preferred.
• Training and Compliance: GCP and CITI training required, as applicable.
• Language Skills: Native or fluent Spanish-English bilingual preferred.
• Academic Background: Background in life sciences, public health, or related field preferred.
• Communication and Organizational Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, analytical, problem-solving skills, attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily research operations, scheduling, site logistics, participant visits, timelines, and admin tasks.
• Recruit, screen, enroll, consent, and follow study participants per protocols.
• Collect, manage, validate, and analyze research data for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and maintain protocols, IRB submissions, regulatory docs, study files, and records.
• Monitor study progress, recruitment, retention, data quality, and deadlines.
• Coordinate with clinical departments, schools, sponsors, and collaborators.
• Assist with collection, processing, shipment of research specimens and materials.
• Support literature reviews, statistics, manuscripts, abstracts, grants, and presentations.
• Maintain communication with investigators, staff, participants, families, and partners.
• Assist with procurement, equipment maintenance, and budget monitoring.
• Participate in meetings, training, and quality-improvement activities.
