Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital’s Emily Howatt Pliskatt Pediatric Unit seeks a Registered Nurse – Graduate Nurse for the IP Pediatrics program. This full-time night shift role (12 hours, 7:00pm–7:30am) requires enrollment in an RN program and graduation in spring/summer 2027, with weekend assignments as needed.

The graduate nurse works under supervision of an experienced PA-licensed RN, delivering nursing care using the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and a multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Graduate nurse must register and complete the state board exam within 90 days of start.
• New graduate program; prior health care experience preferred.
• Current PA temporary practice permit required.
• BLS/CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient care requirements and establish a plan of care with teaching within 24 hours of admission.
• Provide nursing care using the nursing process under the supervision of an experienced, PA-licensed RN.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team to promote safety and independence for pediatric patients.
• Document patient care and progress, and communicate with the team about changes in condition.
• Maintain infection control, medication safety, and adherence to standards of care.
