Shriners Children’s is seeking a Rehab Aide II to support the Physical and Occupational Therapy teams in providing rehabilitative services for pediatric patients. The role involves direct patient support, maintenance of treatment areas and equipment, and administrative tasks under supervision of a licensed therapist.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: 5 years of Rehab/Therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with peers, patients, families and other staff.
• Maintains a safe environment and follows infection control policies.
• Conducts environmental inspections.
• Completes work orders for Plant Services.
• Organizes and maintains tools and supplies.
• Maintains inventory of shoe crepe, saw blades, sanding belts.
• Checks, adjusts and replaces belts or blades on shoe machine and band saw.
• Empties vacuum bag on shoe machine as needed.
• Cleans and organizes work areas.
• Keeps supplies and tools out of reach of children.
• Maintains supplies on cast cart and in room.
