Job summary

Shriners Portland is seeking a PRN Rehab Aide I to join our team and support the rehabilitation staff across PT, OT, SLP, Recreation Therapy, and Clinical Nutrition to optimize patient care activities.

You will assist with equipment setup, patient transportation, and routine therapy tasks under therapist supervision, while ensuring smooth operations and compassionate patient interactions throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year Rehab/Therapy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures equipment and supplies are organized, available and accessible.
• Assists with setup of equipment, patient transportation, and basic routine therapy care under supervision.
• Manages multiple telephone calls, answers promptly, records accurate messages.
• Greets patients, families and visitors promptly.

Job Description The Rehab Aide I is responsible for assisting the rehabilitation staff (PT, OT, SLP, Recreation Therapy, Clinical Nutrition) with a variety of duties to optimize our patient care activities.

Shriners Portland is looking for a PRN Rehab Aide I to join our team!

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensures all equipment and supplies are organized, available and accessible. (including rehab storage areas, clinical notes)
• Assists with set-up of equipment, patient transportation, and basic routine therapy care under the supervision of a therapist.
• Demonstrates ability to manage multiple telephone calls, answering all calls promptly, speaking clearly, recording accurate messages.
• Greets patient, families, and visitors promptly.
• Knowledge of basic office equipment.
• Makes appropriate referrals for services and uses paging system effectively.

Required Qualifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED 1 year Rehab/Therapy

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
