Job summary

Shriners Children's in Erie, PA is seeking a Rehab Aide II to assist the Physical and Occupational Therapy staff in delivering rehabilitative services to pediatric patients. Under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist, you will support treatment sessions, help maintain clean and safe environments, and handle related administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: 5 years of Rehab/Therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicates effectively with peers, coworkers, patients, families, and others to benefit our customers, department and hospital.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients and follows infection control policies.
• Conducts environmental inspections.
• Completes work orders for Plant Services.
• Organizes and maintains tools and supplies.
• Maintains inventory of shoe crepe, saw blades, sanding belts.
• Checks, adjusts and replaces belts or blades on shoe machine and band saw.
• Empties vacuum bag on shoe machine as needed.
• Cleans and organizes.
• Keeps supplies and tools out of reach of children.
• Maintains supplies on cast cart and in room.
