Job summary

Pediatric Associates of Austin, P.A. is seeking a full-time registered nurse to join our busy pediatric practice in central Austin. Shifts are 8 hours daily, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekend coverage.

The role involves collaborating with physicians and NPs to deliver individualized pediatric care, administering medications and routine procedures, and documenting care in patient charts. Competitive pay: $28.00–$34.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year pediatrics experience as RN.
• Strong knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate as a medical team to devise individualized care plans for patients.
• Perform routine procedures (administering injections, breathing treatments, catheterization, etc.) and fill in patients' charts.
• Adjust and administer patient's medication and provide treatments according to physician's orders.
• Provide patient and parent support by answering medical questions, providing guidance, returning patient calls and scheduling appointments.
• Document advice given and seek advice from providers when appropriate.
• Inspect the clinic and maintain hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, etc.).
• Provide instant medical care in emergencies
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families

Job description

We are a busy pediatric practice located in central Austin seeking a full time registered nurse available to work 8 hours per day, Monday - Friday between 8:00AM - 6:00PM and rotating weekends between 8:30AM - 12:30PM and/or 6:30pm - 9:30pm.

Our nurses work alongside an incredible team of experienced registered nurses, physicians and pediatric nurse practitioners in a private clinic that was established in 1976.

Pay:$28.00 - $34.00 per hour based on years of experience
