Job summary

Pediatric Associates of Austin, P.A. is seeking a full-time registered nurse to join our busy pediatric practice in central Austin. Shifts are 8 hours daily, Monday through Friday, with rotating weekend coverage.

The role involves collaborating with physicians and NPs to deliver individualized pediatric care, administering medications and routine procedures, and documenting care in patient charts. Competitive pay: $28.00–$34.00 per hour.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year pediatrics experience as RN.
Strong knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
Strong knowledge of emergency care.
Adherence to health and safety guidelines and sanitation.
Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsible and compassionate.
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Patient with excellent problem-solving skills.
BS or diploma from a nursing program.

Responsibilities

Collaborate as a medical team to devise individualized care plans for patients.
Perform routine procedures (administering injections, breathing treatments, catheterization, etc.) and fill in patients' charts.
Adjust and administer patient's medication and provide treatments according to physician's orders.
Provide patient and parent support by answering medical questions, providing guidance, returning patient calls and scheduling appointments.
Document advice given and seek advice from providers when appropriate.
Inspect the clinic and maintain hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, etc.).
Provide instant medical care in emergencies
