Job summary

Phoenix Children's is seeking a Radiology Technologist II to join the Diagnostic Radiology team in Gilbert. The role performs diagnostic radiography imaging procedures and supports safety and quality standards in a pediatric setting.

You will work across a range of equipment, ensure accurate patient data, and contribute to imaging quality improvements, while serving as a preceptor for students and new staff as needed.

Qualifications

• Performs a variety of diagnostic radiography imaging tests as prescribed by physicians and providers.
• Maintains professional and technical competency with current literature and practices in diagnostic imaging.
• Provides diagnostic radiography safety information and education to patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of diagnostic radiography imaging tests as prescribed by physicians and providers. Determines proper techniques to ensure optimal results. Calibrates and maintains equipment and troubleshoots malfunctions.
• Finalizes records using RIS for timely information and charge capture; archives as required.
• Maintains competency by staying current with literature and practices in diagnostic imaging.
• Provides safety information to patients, families, and others to ensure understanding of procedures.
• Participates in evaluating new procedures and quality improvement to enhance effectiveness of methods.
• Acts as a preceptor for staff, students, and new employees.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as requested.
