Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist to support diagnostic imaging in our pediatric-focused settings.

This role requires proficiency with a variety of imaging equipment and strict adherence to applicable standards and licensing requirements. The incumbent will perform radiography tests, manage RIS-related tasks for accurate patient data and charge capture, and maintain current knowledge of practice in diagnostic imaging.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiology program.
• Minimum 2 years Radiology Technologist experience.
• Current ARRT registration.
• Current Arizona Department of Health Services Medical Radiologic Technologist’s License.
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of diagnostic radiography imaging tests as prescribed by physicians and providers.
• Performs finalizing functions including limited coding in RIS and archives records per Radiologist specs.
• Maintains competencies by keeping up with current literature and practices in diagnostic imaging.
• Provides radiography safety information to patients and families to ensure understanding of procedures.
• Participates in new procedures and quality improvement initiatives and supports changes.
• Serves as a preceptor for staff, students and new employees.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as requested.
