Job summary

Advocate Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for Pre/Post-Operative care in the LCH setting. The role involves coordinating nursing care, delivering high-quality patient care, and collaborating across teams to ensure safe perioperative processes.

Expect 36 hours per week with a 0600–1800 schedule for 3 days, plus occasional on-call and weekend shifts. Requires an accredited nursing program completion, active RN license, and BLS; ACLS/PALS within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience; this position is not for new graduates.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care following standards and procedures.
• Apply evidence-based practice and clinical decision-making to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
