Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital seeks a Nurse Manager to lead the Pre- and Post-Op department. The role oversees clinical and operational functions to ensure safe, high-quality, cost-effective pediatric care by a skilled team.

Ideal candidates will have pediatric Pre-Op or PACU experience and leadership background. Strong collaboration, regulatory compliance, and staffing oversight are essential for success in this flagship pediatric center.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in appropriate state.
• MSN preferred; if undergrad degree is BSN, Master’s in a health-related field or MBA acceptable.
• Enrollment in MSN program within 1 year of hire/transfer date and graduation within 5 years.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Professional Practice model with interdisciplinary partners to achieve high-quality outcomes.
• Ensure unit operations comply with Nursing Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with team to meet unit and organizational goals, upholding standards.
• Oversee recruitment, orientation, credentialing and ongoing staff development.
• Delegate through shared governance and promote clinical research to improve outcomes.
• Provide nursing care, assist with treatments and medications as needed.
• Educate patients and families; assess and reinforce learning.
• Engage in performance improvement activities to enhance care quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Contribute to policy development reflecting evidence-based practice.
• Promote shared accountability for professional practice.
• Manage resources and budget with staff involvement.
