Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is hiring a temporary Child Activity Coordinator (CAC) to organize, prepare and assist in delivering patient care within the Child Life Department. The CAC will maintain therapeutic play areas, support the health care team and contribute to a safe, healing environment.

The role requires an Associate's degree in child development or related field and CPR within 6 months of hire; experience with hospitalized children is preferred.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in child development or related field.
CPR Certification within 6 months of hire.
Experience with hospitalized children preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain therapeutic play areas within safety and infection control guidelines.
Assist in delivery of patient care services for the Child Life Department.
Provide basic psychosocial support to patients and families.
Supervise and provide guidance to volunteers in the Child Life spaces.
Monitor and maintain safety and cleanliness of Child Life play spaces.
