Job summary

Nemours Childrens Health is hiring a temporary Child Activity Coordinator (CAC) in Orlando. The full-time, 40-hour per week position supports the Child Life Department by organizing, preparing, and assisting in patient care activities and therapeutic play in a pediatric hospital setting.

The CAC works with Child Life Specialists and the health care team to create a safe, engaging space for children and families and to promote healing through developmentally appropriate activities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience with children.
• CPR certification within 6 months of hire.
• Hospital pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain therapeutic play areas in safety and infection control guidelines.
• Deliver Child Life programming to support healing and self-expression.
• Provide basic psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Monitor and ensure safety and cleanliness of play spaces.
• Supervise and assist volunteers in the Child Life area.
