Job summary

Nemours is hiring a temporary Child Activity Coordinator (CAC) to organize, prepare and assist in delivering patient care in the Child Life Department. The CAC prepares therapeutic treatment spaces and supports safety and infection control while engaging children in developmental play.

Responsibilities include assisting patients across ages, coordinating with Child Life Specialists, and providing psychosocial support to families during hospitalization.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience with children.
• CPR certification within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with hospitalized children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain therapeutic play and activity areas in line with safety guidelines.
• Deliver developmental and therapeutic play to support patient care.
• Collaborate with Child Life Specialists and health care team.
• Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Supervise and guide volunteers in the Child Life spaces.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of Play spaces per policies.
