Job summary

Cincinnati Children's is seeking a part-time patient care role in the PICU to support plan of care under RN supervision. You will assist with daily activities, supervise patient care, and help ensure a safe, organized environment for patients and families.

Responsibilities include communication of patient status, timely documentation, and assistance with charts, supplies, and orientation tasks as needed. Rotation shifts and 0.5 FTE reflect a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and an accredited clinical rotation OR eligibility via Ohio STNA/Ohio CNA.
• Eligibility linked to Ohio EMS Registry or National EMS Registry.
• 1+ year of patient care experience in the last three years.
• CPR training and ongoing certification maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care - Provide approved care of assigned patients and assist in implementation under supervision of RN.
• Communication - Demonstrate CARES behaviors, document and report patient changes, and seek guidance when needed.
• Environment - Maintain a safe, organized, infection-conscious environment for patients and families.
• Administrative Support - Respond to alarms, answer calls, assemble charts, stock supplies, and assist with orientation of new staff.
