Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care assessment and treatment following Standard of Practice and develops an appropriate treatment plan with realistic goals.
• Maintains accurate patient documentation including evaluations, progress notes and discharge notes; documents education, charges and ICD-9 codes as needed.
• Meets department productivity standards and understands budgeted expectations; adjusts schedules to meet patient and department needs.
• Participates in process management to improve quality and efficiency of services; identifies opportunities for improvement.
• Promotes professional development and education of other health care workers; may conduct in-service trainings.
• Supervises PT and PTA students to develop clinical skills and ensure quality patient care.
• Communicates professionally with patients, physicians, staff and external customers.
• Provides age/developmentally appropriate care and demonstrates knowledge and skills for patients served.
• Adheres to hospital standards, encouraging teamwork through effective communication and collaboration.
