Job summary

State of Oklahoma invites applications for a Part‑Time Physical Therapist in the SoonerStart program based in Purcell. The role focuses on examining and treating infants and toddlers with developmental delays in the child’s natural environment, supporting family learning and participation.

Responsibilities include screenings, evaluations, and parent education to improve mobility and daily functioning, with supervision of interns and collaboration within an interprofessional team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in physical therapy and a current Oklahoma PT license; Doctorate in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Level II requires 1 year of licensed PT experience; Doctorate preferred.
• Level III requires 2 years of licensed PT experience; Doctorate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides early intervention services in child and family environments (home, childcare, etc.).
• Makes recommendations on standardized treatments/intervention based on developmental indications.
• Completes child assessments of developmental, educational, and social skills/abilities.
• Participates in family interviews and development/implementation of the IFSP per state and federal guidelines.
• Serves on an interdisciplinary team to monitor effectiveness of health and development services.
• Develops treatment plans addressing needs including routine-based activities and neuro-/sensory-motor functions.
