Job summary

Performance Pediatrics is seeking a passionate Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our Lafayette, NJ team, delivering high-quality therapy to children in a supportive, collaborative environment. The role emphasizes developing individualized plans, family education, and teamwork with caregivers, therapists, and school partners to help children reach their fullest potential.

NJ-licensed PT with DPT or equivalent and NJ School Certification; CPR/First Aid; pediatric experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in New Jersey.
• NJ School Certification.
• DPT or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
• Experience in pediatric physical therapy preferred.
• Knowledge of developmental milestones and pediatric rehab techniques.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or ability to obtain on hire.
• Compassionate, patient and enthusiastic approach with children.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat pediatric patients across a range of developmental, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments and evidence-based practices.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve gross motor skills, strength, balance, and functional mobility.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members to support each child's progress.
• Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in a timely and accurate manner.
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Educate and train parents and caregivers on home exercise programs and therapeutic strategies.
