Job summary

Ascension St Vincent in Monterey, CA is seeking a pediatric occupational therapist or COTA to join our private outpatient clinic. The role supports a variety of clients with opportunities in school settings, feeding therapy, and adult hand therapy. Work is in-person with flexible full- or part-time scheduling.

Qualifications

  • New grads and experienced pediatric therapists welcome; must be creative, patient and enjoy working with children.
  • CA OT license required; license/certification must be current.
  • Experience in pediatrics preferred (1 year), but training is available.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and interview clients and their caregivers.
  • Document evaluations, SOAP notes, progress reports, goals, and discharge summaries using an EMR system.
  • Apply therapeutic techniques to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Select appropriate standardized assessments and screeners.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, patients and families.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain an organized workflow to ensure efficiency.
  • Be a team player.

Experience: pediatrics for 1 year preferred, but willing to train
