Job summary

MUSC Children's Health- Mt Pleasant, part of MUSC Health, is hiring a Phlebotomist to join a pediatric-focused lab team. The role performs routine venipuncture on patients of all ages, prepares specimens, and operates automated lab equipment.

You will ensure accurate data entry, follow privacy and safety protocols, and participate in quality control and continuous education within a supportive, growth‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–6 months of work experience preferred.
• Certificate of Phlebotomy preferred.
• State licensure and/or professional certification requirements vary by position.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality venipuncture or capillary service for patients of all ages with lab orders.
• Accurately enter patient demographics and assays into computer systems.
• Process and handle specimens per MUSC guidelines and reference labs.
• Maintain supplies, participate in safety and quality control activities.
