Job summary

BayCare Health System in Tampa, FL is seeking a Phlebotomist for the Outreach - HAMPTON LAKES facility. The role requires 6 months pediatric phlebotomy experience.

The position is full-time with a 7:00am-3:30pm shift and occasional weekend work, on-site at the Hampton Lakes location. You will collect inpatient and outpatient specimens, coordinate with nursing staff, refer tests to outside labs, and interact with physicians, clients and staff to ensure accurate lab results.

Qualifications

• 6 months phlebotomy or laboratory-related experience
• High School diploma or equivalent; or Bachelor's degree in a related field in lieu of experience
• Driver's license must be current

Responsibilities

• Collect inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
• Communicate with nursing regarding patient specimens
• Refer specimens to outside laboratories
• Interact with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
• Perform phlebotomy procedures
• Other duties as assigned
