Job summary

Saint Cyr Partners in Monroe, NY seeks a Phlebotomist for a 3‑month assignment with potential permanent placement. Role emphasizes hands-on blood draws, specimen labeling and processing in a busy clinical lab, with pediatric experience preferred. Schedule: Mon–Thu 9:00am–6:30pm, Fri 9:00am–1:00pm.

The candidate will perform venipuncture, document results, and ensure safe, compliant specimen transport and storage while maintaining clear patient communication.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification required.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and collect specimens.
• Label, centrifuge, and prepare specimens for testing.
• Record maintenance data and decontamination; update patient information.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol.
• Ensure accurate test requisition matching and labeling.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations; attend annual trainings.
• Answer inquiries and communicate results as needed.
