Qualifications

• Hands-on phlebotomy experience required.
• Must be comfortable performing blood draws throughout the workday.
• Pediatric phlebotomy experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood collection on pediatric patients.
• Work with infants, children, adolescents, and families to create a calm and positive blood-draw experience.
• Select appropriate collection tubes and ensure specimens are collected correctly.
• Accurately label and handle specimens.
• Follow established procedures for patient identification, specimen collection, and infection control.
• Recognize collection issues and take appropriate steps when specimens cannot be obtained or do not meet requirements.
