The University of Florida is seeking a Phlebotomist-Peds ID to support clinicians in a multi-disciplinary outpatient clinic serving pediatric and adult patients at the Jacksonville campus.

The role involves phlebotomy, blood collection, requisition matching, HIV rapid testing, data entry, and maintaining sterile procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.

This full-time, on-site position requires a high school diploma or phlebotomy training, with preferred HIV/AIDS experience.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a phlebotomy course; or a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of relevant experience.

Responsabilidades

• Collect blood from patients using vacuum tube, syringe, or butterfly venipuncture methods.
• Perform HIV rapid testing and related pre/post-test counseling as needed.
• Review lab work, match requisitions to specimens, and ensure proper specimen handling.
• Maintain sterile work area and proper disposal of sharps in accordance with laws and policies.
• Enter data and manage lab forms for timely delivery to the lab.
