Aufgaben

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Ensure accuracy by checking test requisitions or computer label against script.
• Package specimens for transport and store according to required temperature procedures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.
