Accounting Search in Monroe, NY is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform blood draws, label and process specimens, and ensure compliant handling and transport. This 3-month position may lead to permanent placement and includes benefits.

Experience in pediatric settings is required, and the candidate should be familiar with OSHA/DEP regulations, annual trainings, and accurate data entry for patient information. Schedule: Mon-Thu 9:00am-6:30pm, Fri 9:00am-1:00pm.

Formación

• Minimum Qualifications: Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique using straight or butterfly needles as required.
• Match lab requisition forms to specimen tubes and verify test orders.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per temperature and protocol requirements.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual trainings.
• Answer calls and read lab results to satisfy inquiries.
