Job summary

Children's Hospital of Michigan (Detroit) seeks a dedicated pharmacy team member to prepare and label IV and unit-dose medications under a licensed Pharmacist. You will perform precise calculations, maintain a sterile environment, and deliver meds to patient care areas while keeping strict inventory and documentation for controlled substances.

Responsibilities include processing medication orders, returning unused and expired meds, and handling related charge functions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; licensure must be obtained within 1 year.
• Prior pharmacy experience or technician training preferred.
• Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under a licensed Pharmacist, prepares, packages, and labels IV and unit-dose medications.
• Performs calculations to ensure accuracy and maintains sterile environment.
• Delivers medications to patient care areas and manages inventory and documentation for controlled substances.
• Collects and returns orders and unused/expired meds from patient care areas.
• Performs related charge functions and responds to inquiries from hospital staff and customers.
