Job summary

DMC Harper University Hospital in Detroit is seeking a licensed pharmacist to prepare, package and label IV and unit-dose medications under supervision, ensuring accuracy and sterile technique.

You will deliver medications across the facility, manage inventory, and respond to staff inquiries, while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and procedures. This role requires Michigan licensure within one year and fosters patient care excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Full pharmacy licensure in Michigan required or obtained within one year of hire.
• Prior pharmacy experience or technician training preferred.
• Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package and label IV and unit-dose medications under supervision with accuracy and sterile technique.
• Deliver floor stock medications, patient-specific medications, emergency boxes and crash cart trays.
• Collect/return medication orders and unused/expired meds for processing and charge capture.
• Respond to requests and inquiries from hospital staff and patients with accurate information.
• Perform related duties as assigned and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
