DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit, MI is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists with preparing, labeling and delivering IV and unit dose medications within a hospital setting.

Under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist, you will handle medication orders, maintain sterile procedures, and support charge functions while communicating with hospital staff to ensure accurate medication delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan by 10/1/15.
• Prior pharmacy experience and/or completion of formal pharmacy technician training including knowledge of medical and pharmaceutical terminologies is preferred.
• Certification is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Under the direction and final check of a licensed Pharmacist, prepares, packages and labels IV and unit dose medications according to prescriber orders and policies.
• Delivers floor stock medication, patient-specific medication, emergency boxes and crash cart trays to patient care areas.
• Maintains a sterile environment and performs related charge functions.
• Responds to requests and inquiries from hospital employees and customers and provides information regarding medication orders.
