Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking an Associate Patient Service Specialist to support the pediatric hearing program at the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center. This role handles scheduling, registration, and coordination across services with a focus on patient experience and timely access.

You will work weekdays, communicate through patient portals, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure accurate pre-appointment orders and smooth visits for children and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Experience in patient scheduling or registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proficiently performs all Associate Patient Service Specialist responsibilities.
• Schedules appointments and procedures through clinical communication, work queues, and patient portal messages
• Manages registration and patient work queues.
• Coordinates with patients and/or outside facilities to ensure pre-appointment orders and consults are received and viewable prior to visits.
• Communicates with patients through the patient portal using critical decision making to route appropriately.
