Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of health care experience preferred (pediatrics if possible).
• Clinical experience from nursing program or military corpsman training preferred.
• Ability to use basic computer tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Admission: orient family to call lights and unit; set up monitor and alarms; take vitals and measurements.
• Daily living: assist with bathing, hygiene, nutrition, and feeding; care for trach/EVD and wound dressings per RN guidance.
• Direct patient care: report pain or skin issues; prioritize tasks; assist with room preparation for discharge and admission.
• Maintain PAR levels and obtain equipment; monitor and report deviations to RN.
• Infection control: uphold hand hygiene and clean equipment after use.
• Documentation: record vitals and care notes in nursing database; communicate with charge nurse.
