Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC, is seeking a Patient Care Technician in the PACU to support the multidisciplinary team under RN direction. You will perform basic nursing tasks, help maintain a safe, clean unit, and assist with patient flow.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, at least 1 year healthcare or pediatric clinical experience, CNA/EMT/CPCT certification, and BLS for Healthcare Providers. Computer basics and aseptic technique are essential.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year healthcare experience in pediatrics preferred; clinical nursing or military corpsman training.
• Basic computer skills (typing, mouse, email).
• Knowledge of aseptic technique.
• Certifications: CNA or EMT or CPCT; BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform basic nursing care activities under RN direction.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, stocked patient care setting and aid patient flow.
• Take vitals, height, weight, and head circumference; assist with daily living tasks.
• Document in nursing databases and communicate changes to the nurse in charge.
• Support infection control and safety practices on the unit.
