Job summary

Nemours is seeking a Patient Care Technician (Float Pool) to join Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, FL. This full-time role covers a 36-hour work week with 7A–7P and 7P–7A shifts, on-site at 6535 Nemours Parkway.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of patient care experience preferred.
• American Heart BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bath, feed, play, etc.).
• Prepare rooms for patient admissions and ensure proper equipment is set up.
• Record intake and output as directed by RN; perform vital signs and report abnormalities.
• Transport patients to other units as needed and escort discharged patients to the car.
• Serve as unit receptionist, answer calls, greet visitors, and assist with systems.
