Job summary

The Nemours Foundation is seeking a Patient Care Technician (Float Pool) for Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, FL. This part-time role covers 7A-7P and 7P-7A shifts on-site to support pediatric patients.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, preparing rooms, taking vital signs, and using the EMR to document care, under the guidance of a registered nurse. Prior patient care experience preferred; BLS required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of one year of patient care experience preferred.
• American Heart Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Prepare rooms for patient admissions and ensure proper equipment.
• Record intake and output as directed by RN.
• Utilize the EMR to document patient care.
• Transport patients to other unit locations and assist with discharges.
