Job summary

Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician (Float Pool) for full-time shifts (36 hours/week) on 7A-7P or 7P-7A.

Responsibilities include assisting patients with activities of daily living, preparing rooms, vital signs, charting in EMR, transporting patients, and collaborating with RNs to ensure safe, patient-centered care. Requires CNA license and HS diploma; BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA license required.
• Minimum of one year of patient care experience preferred.
• American Heart BLS within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bath, feed, etc.).
• Prepare rooms for admissions and ensure proper equipment.
• Record vital signs and report abnormalities to RN.
• Document in EMR and ensure accurate charting.
• Transport patients to other units and escorts discharge.
• Maintain clean and safe patient care environment.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to deliver patient-centered care.
