Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of patient care experience preferred.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide other patient care as directed.
• Prepare rooms for patient admissions and ensure proper equipment is set up.
• Record intake and output as directed by RN.
• Take and report vital signs to the RN and maintain patient safety.
• Utilize electronic medical records to document care and communicate patient needs to the team.
• Transport patients and assist with admissions, discharges, and escorts as needed.
• Participate in unit and hospital education programs and adhere to hospital standards of behavior.
