Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a full-time faculty member in the Division of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine to deliver patient-centered care, teach fellows and medical students, and contribute to clinical service as a recognized authority in pediatric pathology.

The division has a robust digital pathology program, a strong research portfolio, and active participation in educational activities; candidates with board certification and prior clinical practice are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or equivalent required.
• Unrestricted licensed physician in good standing.
• Approval/credentialing from CCHMC Medical Staff Services Division.
• Assistant Professor appointment or eligibility.
• Prior clinical practice experience.
• Board certification (preferred).
• Experience in Digital Pathology (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care commensurate with the level of advancement and clinical specialty.
• Teach fellows, rotating residents, medical students, and observers through case-based learning and clinical experiences.
• Provide contributions to clinical service as evidenced by developing local and regional recognition by peers and patients as an authority in the field.
• Participate in divisional digital pathology initiatives.
• Participate in divisional and departmental educational activities, continuing education, literature review, and seminars.
• Maintain proficiency in departmental policies, procedures, and standard.
• Participate in scholarly activities as evidenced by: Publication of clinical investigations, observations, reviews, chapters, or books.
