Job summary

Nemours Children's Health in Malvern, PA is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to deliver safe, patient-family centered care in pre-surgical and post-anesthesia care units. This full-time role involves collaboration with Nemours facilities in Delaware and Deptford to optimize resources and patient outcomes, with periodic rotations.

The position requires active RN licensure in PA, DE, and NJ, and FBI/PA child abuse clearances.

Qualifications

• Valid PA RN license
• Delaware NJ RN licensure within stated timeframes
• BLS and PALS certifications required; ACLS within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Provide age-specific, culturally competent care within legal standards.
• Assess pre-surgical status and adherence to pre-surgical criteria.
• Assess post-operative status and respond per policy.
• Interpret data from monitors and apply knowledge of anesthesia physiology.
• Develop and implement perianesthesia plan of care.
• Manage recovery from general, regional, or local anesthesia.
• Ensure patient safety from positioning, infection, and hydration issues.
• Educate patient/family regarding perioperative care and expected outcomes
