Job summary

Mercy Health’s St. Rita's Medical Center seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for pediatric therapy.

The role involves diagnosing and treating speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across age groups, with careful evaluation and treatment planning to improve communication outcomes. The SLP will work in outpatient settings with no weekend requirements, collaborate with the care team, and educate families on home-based continuation of therapy.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of practice (required)

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals, conditions, and histories to determine therapy needs.
• Perform evaluations, re-evaluations, and discharge plans based on assessments.
• Deliver SLP treatments tailored to patient needs.
• Design programs addressing language, speech, swallowing, memory and cognition.
• Educate patients and families for home continuation of therapy.
• Collaborate with care teams and participate in care conferences.
