Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a Speech Language Pathologist for St. Rita's Medical Center. The role involves diagnosing and treating speech, language, social communication, cognition, and swallowing disorders across ages.

You'll conduct evaluations, develop plans, and utilize varied techniques to improve communication skills. Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist is required in the state, CCC-SLP preferred within the first year, and BLS is preferred or required depending on unit.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of current practice.
• CCC-SLP certification preferred at hire, required within one year.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for some units.

Responsibilities

• Assess referrals and medical history to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and discharge plans based on assessments.
• Administer SLT treatments tailored to individual patient needs.
• Design rehabilitative programs for language, voice, swallowing, and cognition.
• Educate families on home continuation of therapy.
• Collaborate with healthcare team and participate in patient care conferences.
