Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking an Outpatient Pediatric Plastic Surgery Nurse to coordinate care for children with developmental abnormalities and birth defects. You will support clinic visits, assess and plan patient care, and act as advocate among families, insurers and care teams in an in-person, ambulatory setting across Oakland, San Francisco and satellite clinics.

• Two or more years of pediatric medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outpatient services and clinic visits for pediatric patients.
• Assist in in-clinic procedures and manage clinic flow.
• Support insurance authorizations and pre/postoperative counseling.
• Educate patients and families; liaison between insurers and care teams.
