Job summary

UCSF Health in San Francisco seeks a nursing leader to manage clinical operations in the Prepare Clinic, ensuring readiness for anesthesia and surgery and coordinating care across Adult, Pediatric, Ambulatory, and Network UCSF campuses.

You will promote a environment for shared nursing practice, drive quality and safety, oversee fiscal and human resources, and lead staff and supervisors in a fast-paced, complex academic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of two years of nursing management and leadership experience in a large, complex academic healthcare environment or equivalent experience.
• Experience in hospital management, disaster incidents and critical event handling; strong problem solving.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to lead and collaborate with physicians and staff.
• Knowledge of healthcare information technology and patient care workflows.
• Familiarity with regulatory, accreditation, licensing and compliance environments.

Responsibilities

• Direct nursing and administrative operations in assigned patient care areas.
• Implement changes to patient workflows and operational processes.
• Maintain 24-hour line management for fiscal, material and human resources; supervise staff.
• Coordinate with physicians, management and staff to improve care outcomes.
