Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist for the Pediatric Outpatient Acute Therapy team. This full-time role involves evaluating pediatric patients, creating and implementing treatment plans, fabricating assistive devices, and coordinating with physicians for optimal outcomes.

The position requires a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and state licensure, with BLS if required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program or equivalent,
• Active OT license in the state of practice (AHA BLS if required)
• Peds outpatient pediatric experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to meet productivity and documentation requirements

Responsibilities

• Interpret referrals and evaluate patient abilities affecting daily living.
• Plan and implement individualized treatment and fabricate assistive devices as needed.
• Plan for discharge with home programs and family instruction.
• Document assessments, progress notes, and billing per policy and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in treatment areas and assist with equipment handling.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and staff training.
