Shriners Children's is seeking an outpatient Medical Assistant to support physicians and nurses in clinic settings. The role ensures a smooth patient flow, assists with examinations, basic procedures, wound care, and medication administration under physician supervision.

Attention to patient education and accurate EHR documentation is essential. The ideal candidate has a completed accredited MA program, current CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA certification, a high school diploma, and BLS certification.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Mansioni

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, including minor surgical procedures, wound care, and casting/splinting.
• Administer medications as directed by a physician, adhering to the five rights of medication administration.
• Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
• Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and assist with referral coordination.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including electronic health records (EHR) documentation.

Formazione
