Job summary

Shriners Children’s Chicago is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support outpatient clinic operations. The MA will assist with patient rooming, vital signs, documentation, and minor procedures, working under the supervision of the RN to ensure a smooth flow of visits.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, national CMA certification, and BLS. Pediatric outpatient experience and bilingual capabilities are preferred; telehealth support and administrative duties may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant with national certification (NHA/AMA/NCRMA/NAHP).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient rooming, vital signs, and exams.
• Document visits in EMR and support clinic operations.
• Assist physicians and RNs during procedures.
• Prepare and stock supplies; support Telehealth and administrative tasks as needed.
