Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group, LP is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat pediatric patients in a collaborative clinic setting in the Greater Houston area. You will develop individualized goals, implement evidence-based therapies, and educate families to support home programs.

New graduates are encouraged to apply; Texas OT licensure is required by start date; bilingual Spanish is a plus. Flexible scheduling with full-time, part-time, and PRN roles is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Texas OT license by anticipated start date.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
• Previous experience supervising COTAs is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals.
• Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services per physician-approved Plans of Care.
• Address functional skills including fine motor development, sensory processing, coordination, strength, ROM, self-care, visual-motor integration, behavioral regulation, and daily living activities.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Educate and train families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
